YANMAR Europe well represented at Europe 2022

From 2 to 5 November 2022 will once again open its physical doors. Yanmar Europe will be there (Hall 1, station 224) to personally introduce visitors to the latest developments in ship engines.

This is the first time we have exhibited together at the Joint Booth (Booth 1, Booth 227) with Nikofken, one of our marine engine service distributors in Yanmar, the Netherlands. Nikofken specializes in major repairs and spare parts sales of mainframe and auxiliaries. For 35 years, the company has been an important partner in Yanmar's dealer network.

The Dutch market is important

Yanmar's European headquarters is in Almere, making the Dutch home market an important one. As a result of their long-standing good relationship with Nikoverken, it was a logical decision that also significantly reinforced each other's advantages in European ports. Visitors can see and experience with their own eyes that the original Japanese Yanmar engine and real parts can also be fast and reliable in their own country.

YANMAR IMO III high-speed engines with SCR after-treatment

One of the new developments in the field of sustainability and environmental requirements is the SCR (selective catalytic reduction) after treatment of high-speed Marine 6AYEM engines. The 6-cylinder common rail engine meets the current stringent IMO III emission requirements.

The SCR system was developed, designed, and manufactured entirely within Yanmar's R & D Team in Japan. A major advantage is that both the SCR and the engine are therefore optimally tuned to each other. The result is a high-speed IMO III engine that meets low emission standards while maintaining high power and low fuel consumption.

SCR/IMO III for medium-speed engines

The same technology is applied to 355-4800kw medium-speed diesel auxiliary engines. These engines also meet the stringent requirements of the IMO III while maintaining their well-known reliability and durability. Because a control panel and pump unit can control multiple engines, and also can control the combination of the main engine and the auxiliary engine, the installation is simple and compact.

Low-emission dual-fuel engine for LNG and diesel

Yanmar introduced the medium-speed dual-fuel solution EY26 series, according to the IMO III requirements, while maintaining high power, while reducing emissions. The engine provides fuel flexibility and is easy to switch to and from liquefied natural gas and diesel, even during operation and at full load of the engine. The engine meets all the requirements to run in two different fuel types stably and reliably.

Wide range of medium-speed and high-speed marine engines

Yanmar is known for its wide range of small, low-fuel, and low-emission marine diesel engines, with power output ranging from 6 to 4,500 kilowatts. The range consists of two propulsion engines and auxiliary engines used as an electric generator. Benelux designers, shipbuilders, and owners praised Yanmar's engine for quality, reliability, and economy far beyond that level.
